How To Make Cinnamon Sugar Tortilla Chips

Here are the ingredients you’ll need:

  • 2 t ground cinnamon
  • ½ c granulated sugar
  • 4 T melted butter
  • 4 large flour tortillas or 6 medium
  • Pinch of salt

Here is the equipment you’ll need:

  • Small bowl
  • Measuring spoon
  • Kitchen shears or knife/cutting board
  • Air fryer
  • Pastry brush
  • Tongs
  • Serving plate

Preheat your air fryer to 350F. Cut the tortillas into triangles. Brush each triangle with melted butter. In a small bowl, combine the sugar and cinnamon. Dip the tortilla triangles in the cinnamon sugar mixture, coating both sides.

Place the coated tortilla triangles in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook for 6 to 8 minutes or until the chips are golden brown and crispy. Serve immediately and enjoy!

These chips are perfect for a snack or dessert. They’re also great for dipping in your favorite toppings, like chocolate sauce, peanut butter, fruit dip, or cream cheese.

Tips For Making The Best Cinnamon Sugar Tortilla Chips In The Air Fryer

  • Parchment paper will help keep the coating on the chip and make cleanup a bit easier, but you can skip that step if you don’t have any on hand.
  • Use fresh tortillas. Old tortillas will be more likely to tear.
  • Cut the tortillas into even-sized triangles. This will help them cook evenly.
  • Don’t overcrowd the air fryer basket; you want a bit of space between each chip and to not have them laying on top of each other.
  • Shake the air fryer basket halfway through cooking or use tongs to carefully turn them over. This will help the chips cook evenly.
  • Serve the chips immediately. Store leftover chips in a well-sealed baggie for up to two days.

Ways To Serve Cinnamon Sugar Tortilla Chips In The Air Fryer

  • Add a pinch of salt to the cinnamon sugar mixture to balance the sweetness.
  • Use different types of tortillas, such as corn tortillas or whole wheat tortillas. We tried corn tortillas, but they were not very good.
  • Make a dip: Try a peanut butter sauce, creamy fruit dip, or caramel sauce.
  • Use the chips to make dessert nachos: Top with your favorite toppings, such as ice cream, chopped fruit like pineapple and strawberries, chocolate sauce, and whipped cream.
